AMENDMENT 0004: The purpose of this amendment is to:

a. Update Specification Section 35 20 16, remove Section 25 56 00 and update/add various Drawings. All technical changes are specified in the Summary of Changes.
b. Update paragraphs 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 & 8.1 in Section 00 21 00 - Procedures for Submittal of Offers & Proposal Evaluation Approach to clarify maximum page allowances.
c. Remove DFARS Provision 252.225-7974 (Dev), and add DFARS Provision 252.255-7055 and DFARS Clause 252.255-7056.
d. Provide a Drawing of the exploratory boring logs as requested by Prospective Offerors.
e. Update FAR Clause 52.211-12, Liquidated Damages, and FAR Provision 52.252-3, Alterations in Solicitation.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), W912P521R0007, for a single firm fixed-price Construction Contract. The scope of this requirement includes the replacement of ten (10) spillway tainter gates and eleven (11) gate lifting machinery setups including, but not limited to, wire rope and drum setup, high and low-speed gear boxes, 10 hp electric motor, bull and pinion gears, and machinery base on each gate pier for the Wolf Creek Dam located on the Cumberland River near Jamestown, Kentucky in Russell County. The Wolf Creek Dam Spillway Gates and Machinery Replacement Contract will restore the dam to its full functionality as it was intended once built.

The major features of this Contract include fabrication and installation of the new gates and lifting machinery equipment that is required to operate the gates. To accomplish these major features, the scope will include the following items:

1) Fabricate ten (10) new spillway tainter gates;
2) Remove and dispose of the existing spillway tainter gates, existing lifting equipment, and lifting equipment machinery base;
3) Work platform to install the new spillway tainter gates;
4) Install the spillway tainter gates and gate lifting machinery equipment, electrical features, and install new lifting gate machinery base;
5) Modify bridge to access the lifting machinery equipment for replacement;
6) Work from bridge is limited to one (1) lane closure with a few short term hourly road closures for special lifts; and
7) Installation of trunnion ladders.

DISCLOSURE OF MAGNITUDE OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: The estimated price range is between $100,000,000 and $250,000,000.
