W912ER26RA001 - Amendment 0001, Missile Assembly Disassembly Facility (MADF) Renovation   6

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Middle East District, is issuing a contract for the renovation of the Missile Assembly/Disassembly Facility at Camp Sabhan, Kuwait. This project supports the Kuwaiti Patriot missile program and aims to modernize and upgrade existing facilities in compliance with current Kuwaiti and U.S. building codes, safety, and security standards.

The contract will be awarded as a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Two-Phase Design-Build contract utilizing full and open competition.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform comprehensive renovations including:

- Modernization of missile assembly/disassembly areas;
- Construction of new offices, restrooms, and storage areas;
- Overhaul of electrical, communication, mechanical, and fire protection systems to meet NFPA and KFF standards;
- Installation of new HVAC systems, compressed air lines, and a paint booth;
- Exterior enhancements such as irrigation refurbishment, drainage improvements with a new French drain, sidewalk and brick facade repairs, slope stabilization, replacement of exterior lighting;
- Enclosure of the existing canopy with a pre-engineered building design;
- Installation of two overhead cranes.

The contractor is responsible for all management, administration, quality control, labor, transportation, equipment, materials, vehicles, heavy equipment, supplies necessary for the completion of the project.

Period of Performance
The overall Period of Performance for this project is four hundred nine (409) calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
