Background
The Grays Harbor North Jetty Repair project is issued by the Seattle District, aimed at maintaining and enhancing the structural integrity of the jetty located in Ocean Shores, WA. The primary mission of this project is to ensure the effective training and control of strong currents that flow through tidal inlets and harbor entrances, thereby preventing sediment accumulation that could obstruct navigation. Work Details
The scope of work includes comprehensive construction tasks such as:
- Conducting time impact analyses for any delays or changes requested by the government.
- Preparing justification for delays, including detailed descriptions of events causing impacts to work schedules.
- Implementing changes that do not cause delays by creating fragmentary networks (fragnets) to be incorporated into project schedules.
- Performing both prospective and retrospective analyses for time extensions based on industry standards (AACE 52R-06 and ASCE 67-17).
- Developing an Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) that includes measures for protecting natural resources during construction, such as stormwater pollution prevention plans and spill control plans.
- Conducting daily surveys for Western Snowy Plovers and Streaked Horned Larks to monitor their behavior and nesting conditions during construction activities.
- Submitting a Work Plan detailing execution methods, site management, communication protocols, and emergency contact information.
