Background
This contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Program. The mission of this contract is to provide a full range of design-build, repair, and construction services for healthcare and medical research facilities throughout the Northern Region of the United States. The goal is to ensure quick and cost-effective responses to requirements for DHA facilities, primarily at military installations.

Work Details
The contractor will perform a variety of tasks including: renovation, repair, and new construction services for DHA medical treatment facilities (MTF) and medical research laboratory facilities. Potential projects include work inside both permanent and temporary facilities such as medical centers, community hospitals, medical clinics, dental treatment facilities, veterinary treatment facilities, medical office buildings, medical research laboratory facilities, and medical warehouses.

The contractor must address infection control and patient/staff safety during repairs in occupied MTFs. Work may also involve life safety-related building systems such as medical gases, emergency power systems, fire suppression systems, and nurse call systems. Exterior work may include parking lots, helipads, exterior lighting, signage, and utilities. Compliance with various standards including those from The Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Health and Human Services - CDC, and others is required.

Period of Performance
The contract has a performance period of five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations for performance include military installations and other DoD and Federal Government sites throughout the Northern Region of the United States which encompasses states such as Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C.
