Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the repair of the main water line at Paint Creek Lake, Bainbridge, Ohio. The mission of this project is to ensure the integrity and functionality of the municipal water supply system in compliance with state and local regulations.

The goal is to locate and repair damaged sections of the water line while minimizing disruption to normal operations at the project site.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1) Locate and repair an unknown length of 4” main water line using PVC or other materials as required by Highland County Water Co.
2) Provide 4” line fittings for coupling to existing lines.
3) Supply grass seed and straw for ground restoration.
4) Use gravel or other acceptable fill material as needed.
5) Perform roadway repairs using hot mix asphalt and related equipment.

The contractor must conduct exploratory excavation or sonar testing to determine the precise location of leaks, replace all sections of line if multiple leaks are found, and restore the work area to its previous condition, including lawn areas and roadways. All waste from the old water line removal must be disposed off-site. Work must be coordinated with the Resource Manager to minimize disruption, especially since the project office will be without water during repairs.

Period of Performance
The contractor is required to commence work within 14 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete all work no later than May 1, 2025.
