Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District is issuing a contract for the supply and replacement of wire rope at Dewey Lake. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational integrity of an overhead crane by replacing its wire rope, which is critical for lifting operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all equipment, material, labor, supplies, and supervision necessary to supply and replace continuous wire rope on an overhead crane at Dewey Lake. The specific requirements include:

1. Removal of existing wire rope from a 20-ton overhead crane and associated block/hook assembly, with the old cable disposed of properly.

2. Installation of 950 feet of plain steel wire rope that meets or exceeds a single line breaking strength of 41,200 lbs. The wire rope must be 5/8”, 6X37 IWRC Right Hand Lay and properly lubricated upon installation. A letter of certification with specifications for the newly installed wire rope must be submitted prior to job completion.

3. Conducting a test run of the overhead crane post-installation to ensure operability, including lifting an emergency gate and ensuring proper visibility of wire wraps on the drum.

4. All work must be completed within three days of commencement, with provisions for rescheduling in case of emergencies.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required within 45 calendar days from the date of award.
