Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the inspection services of the Port Engine Reduction Gearbox on the M/V Kenneth Eddy, which is part of The Light Capacity Fleet. The mission of this contract is to ensure the operational integrity and safety of the vessel by conducting thorough inspections in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform gearbox inspection services for The Light Capacity Fleet as outlined in the Performance Work Statement. Specific tasks include:

1) Inspecting the port engine reduction gearbox assembly (Falk Marine Gear Drive model 2083MRHP13A450) for low pressure and shifting issues;

2) Documenting findings and submitting a repair plan along with a cost estimate for repairs to the Contracting Office Representative within two calendar days from discovery;

3) Ensuring compliance with ABS 'Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels' and USCG regulations;

4) Handling removal or relocation of any parts or equipment necessary for access during inspections, with responsibility for reinstallation and any damages incurred during this process;

5) Adhering to safety requirements as per the US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1, as well as OSHA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract duration is from the date of award through April 10, 2025. All work must be completed within this timeframe.

Place of Performance
The inspection will take place at the Cheatham Lock and Dam located in Ashland City, TN.
