Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the replacement of the Dover Dam Garage. The mission of the Corps is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters.

The goal of this contract is to construct a new garage/shop building at the Dover Dam site, ensuring it meets specified construction standards and requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies, permits, and materials necessary for the erection of an 80' x 36' garage/shop building with a 2 ft. overhang on all four sides. Key tasks include:
- Site preparation including demolition and removal of existing structures, leveling of site for building footprint, excavation, and compaction of required materials.
- Construction of footers and block foundation wall with a minimum 6-inch concrete floor.
- Installation of 2 x 6 stud walls insulated with R19 fiberglass insulation.
- Construction of a roof with a 4/12 pitch using steel ribbed roofing.
- Installation of three insulated garage doors and two commercial steel doors.
- All materials removed from the property must be disposed of in accordance with state, local, and federal laws.

The contractor is responsible for mobilization & de-mobilization, fuel, labor, site prep, and all materials required to complete the job as per the attached Statement of Work.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe which will be detailed in the solicitation but generally includes all phases from mobilization to project completion.
