Vietnam GMC health insurance - Bridge Contract for May - Nov 2023

The purpose of this contract is to extend the existing health insurance services for the U.S. Mission LES in Vietnam for the base period of three (3) months from May 21 to August 20, 2023, plus an additional option period of another three (3) months from August 21 to November 20, 2023.

The existing contract No. 19VM3021D0001 has already been modified to exercise an option period for six (6) months according to FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services, up to May 20th, 2023. The LE staff health insurance contract is a major complex contract requiring an extended procurement process, which prevents the embassy from completing the new contract by May 20th, 2023. Therefore, the Mission Vietnam is requesting a bridge contract for 3 months base period plus 3 months option period with the incumbent contractor, Bao Minh Hanoi Insurance Company, to ensure continued and uninterrupted services for the Mission LE staff until the new contract is in effect.

The Contractor shall provide the Health Insurance services to employees of the Government of the United States of America in Vietnam and their eligible dependents to include all the required coverage percentages and caps.
