The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Viasat, Inc.:

The Government has a requirement for an extended warranty of the previously purchased Commercial Broadband Modem 400 (CBM-400) exclusively offered through Viasat, Inc., which was originally approved through the authority to purchase experimental items under 10 U.S.C. Section 2373. No other manufacturer has the ability to provide the extended warranty needed for this procurement, as it is proprietary in nature. As such, the Government has determined that no other vendor besides Viasat, Inc. can provide the extended warranty needed for this procurement.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for quote. A determination by the government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. The applicable NAICS Code is 334220 and the business size standard is 1,250 Employees.
