The DLA-Aviation is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for Four (4) DOOSAN PUMA VTR1620M Vertical Turning Centers w/Automatic Chuck Changer and One (1) Kundel Bridge Crane. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333517.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNIAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.

Submission Instructions: Interested parties should submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by August 16, NLT 04:00 pm EST. All responses under this Sources Sought Notice must be emailed to orvella.mcwilliams@dla.mil

Responses should not exceed ten (10) one-sided 8.5 x 11 inch pages with a font that is no smaller than 10 point. Responses should include technical specifications (vendor's capability) of machine, technical data, training, and IUID tag. Please identify if your company has capability to provide foundation at Puget sound shipyard (yes/no). Please identify if your company is capable of removing existing equipment (yes/no). In additional to technical documentation, please provide basis of estimate (general pricing) for machine, technical data, training, IUID tag, and installation. There will not be a site visit as part of this sources sought.
