THIS WORK WILL BE PERFORMED ENTIRELY IN ITALY AND THEREFORE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH DFARS 225.1103(3), PROVISION 252.225-7042 AS LISTED IN PROVISION 252.204-7007 ALTERNATE A SHALL APPLY.

NOTICE TO OFFERORS:

FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS EFFORT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THIS SOLICITATION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SOLICITATION, EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF QUOTES. IN THE EVENT THE GOVERNMENT CANCELS THIS SOLICITATION, THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO OBLIGATION TO REIMBURSE AN OFFEROR FOR ANY COSTS.

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Contractor shall provide management and supervision, administration, personnel, transportation, tools, equipment and materials to furnish maintenance, repair, and inspection of real property vertical transportation equipment (VTE) at Aviano AB, Italy in accordance with (IAW) Italian DPR No 162 30 April, 1999 and subsequent modifications, European Directive 2006/42/CE, UNI EN 13015 2008, National Fire Protection Association Standards (NFPA), ASME 17.3-2015, Safety Code for Existing Elevators and Escalators (applicable to equipment), CSA B44 Handbook Safety Code For Elevators, Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards and the recommendations of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Personnel assigned to work on VTE's shall be qualified for the entire duration of the contract, and shall be licensed in accordance with art. 15 of the DPR No. 162 30 April 1999 and all subsequent modifications.
