Vertical Transportation Equipment and Vertical Transportation Management System Response to Q and A   4

Background
This is a non-personnel services contract to provide Preventive Maintenance (PM) and implement a comprehensive program for the operation, maintenance, repairs, service, testing, inspection, and certification of Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) Installations on the Pentagon Reservation and other facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR). The overall contract technical monitoring and administration will be accomplished by the Federal Facilities Division (FFD) of the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). FOSD’s Operations and Engineering Branch will serve as the primary Government point of contact for the PM services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to perform preventive maintenance services for the Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) (elevators, escalators and wheelchair lifts) and Vertical Transportation Management System (VTMS) in the National Capital Region (NCR) as defined in this Performance Work Statement. The contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, materials, supervision necessary for the Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Service Calls (SC) and minor repairs (at or below $2,000.00) IAW the PWS. The work includes maintenance, repair, and alteration work requirements beyond the scope of the services performed under the Preventive Maintenance CLIN. This contract is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for a base period of eight (8) months and four (4) 12-month option years.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the construction projects will be performed is on the Pentagon Reservation and other facilities in the National Capital Region.
