BACKGROUND

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) has a responsibility to Relocate, Store, Maintain, and Dispose of seized and/or forfeited Vehicles throughout the United States. This requirement is for all of the districts within the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Gerogia. specifically.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

The USMS is posting this announcement as an RFI only, for a potential solicitation to be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) website at https://sam.gov. This RFI is issued for the purpose of identifying the availability of potential qualified sources that will be able to meet the requirement. The solicitation will be for the Towing, Storage, Maintenance, and Disposal of Seized Vehicles. The vehicle services contract will be for a base year and four (4) one-year options.

The requirement is for three (3) contractor furnished storage facilities. One located within 60 road miles of each of the following addresses:

  1. USMS, Eastern District of North Carolina, 310 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601
  2. USMS, Western District of North Carolina, 401 W Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202
  3. USMS, Northern District of Georgia, 75 Ted Turner Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30303

Background
The United States Marshals Service (USMS) is responsible for the relocation, storage, maintenance, and disposal of seized and/or forfeited vehicles throughout the United States. This requirement specifically pertains to all districts within North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

The USMS is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential qualified sources that can meet these requirements. The forthcoming solicitation will encompass towing, storage, maintenance, and disposal services for seized vehicles, with a contract structure consisting of a base year and four one-year options.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to provide three contractor-furnished storage facilities located within 60 road miles of the following addresses:

Services include: towing/transporting vehicles; appraising vehicles; providing indoor and outdoor storage; maintaining vehicles in good condition; disposing of vehicles as per regulations; ensuring secure storage facilities with video surveillance; conducting daily sales facilitation for asset previews; maintaining detailed records of all assets including inventory management processes; providing on-site security when necessary; and complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding vehicle storage and disposal.

The contract will be performed over a base year with four additional one-year options.
