Vegetation Management, National Forests in Mississippi

The USDA Forest Service (FS), East Zone, has a requirement for an estimate of 12 Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) to provide Vegetative Management / Wildlife Protection Services on an as-needed basis on the National Forest in Mississippi. Individual tasks to be performed will be competed and awarded by BPA Call against the BPA awardees. The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits and licensing necessary.

The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-01. This procurement is set aside Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 115310 Support Activities for Forestry and the Small Business Size Standard is $11.5 Mil. This project is 100% Small Business set aside.

Contractors must be active in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov at the time of Proposals are due to be considered responsive and eligible for this award.

Respondents are advised that the United States (U.S) Government will not pay for any information or administrative cost incurred in response to this solicitation. All costs associated will be solely at the responding party's expense.

5.4.6.2 Mechanical Cut and Leave

Contractor shall mechanically fell or masticate all SPB infested and designated buffer pine trees using a mechanical feller buncher, shearers or a mastication machine. For mastication application, the tree bole will be mulched to within six inches of mineral soil and chips must be naturally spread across the site.
