Description

The U.S. Forest Service (FS) requires the purchase and installation of (1) double vault toilet on the Mark Twain National Forest.
Project Location:
One (1) double vault toilet at Greer Springs Trailhead, located as follows:
FROM ALTON, MO: Travel MO HWY 19 North from city limits of Alton 7.8 mi. to FR 3187
(Greer Springs Trailhead). Turn left onto FR

Background
The U.S. Forest Service (FS) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase and installation of a double vault toilet at the Greer Springs Trailhead, located in the Mark Twain National Forest. The project aims to enhance facilities for visitors while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. The agency's mission includes managing national forests and grasslands to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of these lands for present and future generations.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for the following tasks:

1. Removal of the existing vault toilet and associated sidewalks.
2. Furnishing and installation of a prefabricated precast concrete vault toilet building that meets ADA accessibility standards.
3. Excavation for building placement and filling void areas from demolition.
4. Backfilling of the new building and various other site work as described in the specifications.
