Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses; Small Business size standard for this solicitation is 1,250 employees. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., intends to enter into a one (1) year base, four (4) option years, firm-fixed-price, requirements contract for the following commercial item(s): Various Sizes of Cardboard Boxes for Packing and Shipping.

SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS.

THE NON-MANUFACTURER RULE APPLIES - A RECIPIENT OF A CONTRACT SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS, IF OTHER THAN THE ACTUAL MANUFACTURER, MUST PROVIDE THE PRODUCTS OF A SMALL BUSINESS.

Background
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses, and the small business size standard for this solicitation is 1,250 employees. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc., intends to enter into a one (1) year base, four (4) option years, firm-fixed-price, requirements contract for Various Sizes of Cardboard Boxes for Packing and Shipping.

Work Details
The estimated maximum quantity for the life of the contract is 1,604,750 each. Packaging shall comply with the specifications of ASTM D-3951-95, standard practice for commercial packages. A copy of the Certificate of Conformance (COC), any applicable physical test results and the packing slip shall accompany each shipment. Delivery is FOB Destination to Butner, NC.

Period of Performance
The contract award term is one year base with the right to extend the contract by exercising future option years (up to a maximum of 4 options).

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to Butner, NC.
