Vama Repave Visitor Center Walkway

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed price contract to repave the Visitor Center walkway at the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site in Hyde Park, New York.

The project aims to replace the existing asphalt paving that currently pitches towards the building, causing water drainage issues. The magnitude of the project is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000, and it is set aside for 100% small business concerns.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for replacing the asphalt paving between the Visitor Center and the Main park drive. Key tasks include:
1. Removal of existing structures and obstructions;
2. Structure excavation and backfill;
3. Earthwork including clearing and grubbing;
4. Installation of aggregate base course;
5. Topsoil placement and grading;
6. Seeding and planting as necessary;
7. Adherence to safety requirements and archaeological protection measures as outlined in the statement of work.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 30 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
Hyde Park, New York, specifically at Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with current online Representations and Certifications. Bidders are required to furnish performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after award. This solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
