Vail-Tortolita Double-Circuit 230-kV Transmission Line Rebuild Synopsis   3

The Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), has the following requirement for Vail-Tortolita Double-Circuit 230-kV Transmission Line Rebuild.

A Pre-Solicitation Notice will be posted on or about 1 Feb 2024. The solicitation reference number will be 89503124RWA000063.

The principal components of work include construction of 59-miles of 230-kV double-circuit transmission line; construction of 5-miles of 230-kV single-circuit transmission line; removing 58-miles of single-circuit 115-kV transmission line; fiber optic installation including optical overhead ground wire (OPGW), fiber splicing and all associated fiber equipment.

This solicitation will be issued as full and open competition. The NAICS code is 237130 Power and Communication Line and Related Structures. The applicable size standard is $45 Million Average Annual Receipts. The period of performance will be approximately 24 months.
