Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to procure services related to ventilation system verification testing and balancing. The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure that the ventilation systems at the San Francisco VA Health Care System are operating efficiently and effectively. This effort aligns with the VA's commitment to maintaining optimal environmental conditions for patient care and staff operations.

The contract requires a contractor capable of providing comprehensive services, including furnishing all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and expertise. The scope of work encompasses a detailed testing and inspection report of supply and exhaust fans, preventive maintenance for belt-driven exhaust fans, and quarterly ventilation testing and balancing for up to 231 rooms within the facility. There is also a provision to include an additional 10 rooms or a 4% increase by cubic feet if necessary. These activities must adhere strictly to the latest VA HVAC Manual standards or clearly document any deviations.

All services are scheduled to be performed at two locations: the San Francisco VA Health Care Center on Clement Street and another facility on Owens Street in San Francisco, CA. The contractor must ensure that all reports generated during this process are delivered in both electronic formats (Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat PDF) as well as hard copies. Importantly, these documents should be unlocked, sortable, and include any formulas or calculations used during their creation since they will become property of the VA upon completion.
