Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing comprehensive maintenance services for Omnicell automated supply dispensing equipment at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center. This initiative underscores the VA's commitment to ensuring that its medical centers are equipped with reliable and efficiently functioning equipment, thereby enhancing the quality of care provided to veterans.

The scope of work involves providing all necessary management, labor, tools, materials, parts, equipment, and transportation required for maintenance and repair services. Contractors will be responsible for performing onsite repairs as well as offering telephonic support and emergency repair services. The expectation is that repair service availability will be maintained 24/7. For onsite repairs, contractors are required to respond within 24 hours during normal duty hours after notification and complete repairs within 24 hours after determining the need for a repair.

In addition to routine maintenance tasks, contractors must also provide emergency repair services with a response time of six hours post-notification. Preventive maintenance will be handled by the Biomedical Engineering Department; however, contractors are expected to supply spare parts necessary for these preventive initiatives without additional charges to the VA. Furthermore, all parts used in repairs must be new and warranted for at least 90 days.

Contractors are expected to maintain a high level of business relations by resolving issues promptly in collaboration with government representatives. The performance objectives include maintaining service availability at least 95% of the time and achieving a perfect response rate for emergency repairs. This project not only aims at maintaining critical medical equipment but also emphasizes efficient operational standards that align with federal regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
