The contractor will be responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and managing inventory of various medical supplies and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) like masks and isolation gowns. The contractor must ensure that all government-owned items are safeguarded while housed at their facility. To meet these requirements, the contractor's facility must be within a 50-mile radius of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. The facility should provide secure, climate-controlled storage conditions that preserve the integrity and operability of stored items. Compliance with all relevant federal, state, local safety regulations including OSHA standards is mandatory. Furthermore, the warehouse must maintain high cleanliness standards to prevent contamination and have effective pest control measures in place.

Additional specifications include having a fully functional receiving dock capable of handling up to 24 pallets daily from Monday through Friday. The warehouse should also feature appropriate fire alarms and suppression systems as per industry standards. Supplies must be stored in temperature-controlled environments with precise monitoring capabilities for temperature and humidity levels according to manufacturer specifications. This meticulous approach ensures that all medical supplies remain in optimal condition until they are needed by VA personnel or government employees authorized for will call pick-ups.
