VA - Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Premium Edition - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is conducting market research to assess capabilities related to the provision of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Premium Edition licenses and associated services. This initiative is spearheaded by the VA's Office of Information & Technology, Infrastructure Operations, which aims to ensure seamless operation and support for its virtual desktop infrastructure. The overarching goal is to maintain robust IT infrastructure that supports the VA's mission by renewing existing licenses and ensuring comprehensive technical support.

The contract seeks services for renewing 15,000 existing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Premium Edition licenses, with an added capability for Citrix Cloud Gov integration. The requirement includes brand name Citrix analysis software alongside technical support services such as Citrix Technical Account Management (TAM) for both software and hardware components. Key aspects of the service include software maintenance support encompassing downloads, upgrades, troubleshooting, 24/7/365 technical assistance, and priority or overnight hardware replacement depending on outage severity.

This acquisition will be structured over a one-year base period with two optional 12-month extensions and three additional tasks in option year two. All electronic deliverables are expected to be submitted via email to the designated Project Manager. Additionally, a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) laptop will be provided to facilitate remote support access by Citrix Hardware TAM personnel upon completion of necessary background checks.

Furthermore, compliance with federal accessibility laws under Section 508 is mandatory. This ensures that all procured Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is accessible to individuals with disabilities in line with updated standards established by the Access Board effective January 18, 2018. These standards are integral to all VA orders related to ICT procurement.
