Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System is seeking a Blank Purchase Agreement (BPA) for hotel accommodations to accommodate lung transplant patients at the Boston VA Medical Center. The VA became a transplant center as of 1/1/2020 and sees patients from out of state who are eligible for lung transplants. Currently, these patients stay in local housing, which is taking up space needed for other patients. The contract aims to provide accommodations for approximately 50 patients and one support person per patient for pre-testing, listed patients, and post-operative needs. The contract will cover a base period and four option years.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing hotel/motel accommodations within a ten-mile radius of the VA Boston Healthcare System West Roxbury Campus. The accommodations should allow for stays ranging from one night up to a one-year period per patient, with specific requirements such as room accessibility, amenities, security, and cleaning standards. Additionally, the contractor must provide internet access, shuttle bus service availability, and comply with COVID safety protocols for federal contractors.

Period of Performance
The contract will cover a base period and four option years.

The contract work will be performed within a ten-mile radius of the VA Boston Healthcare System West Roxbury Campus.
