Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, is looking for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses to provide Rideshare services in support of the VAMC Boston, 150 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130. Rideshare is a key element in helping vulnerable Veterans maintain their attendance at medical, mental health and housing appointments. Partnerships like the Ride Share can be a possible solution to increase access for many Veterans. In this instance, only Veterans can obtain this flexible transportation for indicated appointments by using ride sharing transportation.
Rideshare provides a safe alternative increasing staffing and appointment efficiency while providing safe transportation for our Veterans so that their essential needs can still be met.

Work Details
Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide transportation for vulnerable Veterans by providing immediate transportation to medical and mental health appointments as well as housing appointments. Transportation can only be provided to appointments under the Boston VA Healthcare System. The referral will be made by VA staff for Veteran who are unable to utilize typical means of transportation including benefits travel.
Rides may be provided to Veterans to essential appointments, but only when no other travel is available to the Veteran, or minimizes risk to the Veteran by offering alternative transportation to public transportation. Transportation for the Veterans would be required in catchment areas for the Boston VA Healthcare System.
