Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to contract Ground Ambulance Services for the Sacramento VA Medical Center (VAMC) and its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

The goal of this contract is to provide non-emergency ambulance transportation services to veterans, ensuring they receive timely and efficient medical transport. The Sacramento VAMC serves over 140,000 veterans in the greater Sacramento and San Francisco Bay areas, providing critical healthcare services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of Stretcher Transports, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services. Services must be available 24/7. Specific tasks include:
1. Providing Urgent, Non-urgent Stretcher Transports, BLS, ALS, and CCT on an as-needed basis.
2. Transporting patients with their luggage and medical records at no additional cost.
3. Ensuring all personnel meet qualifications specified in the contract.
4. Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding ambulance services.
5. Providing a Quality Control Plan to ensure service standards are met.
6. Conducting background checks on personnel as per VA requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from January 31, 2025, to January 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed in Placer County, Contra Costa County, Sacramento County, San Joaquin County, Yolo County, Stanislaus County, Shasta County.
