VA Portland, OR Health Care System New Ground Ambulance Requirement   4

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) is seeking to contract for ground ambulance services to support the transportation needs of veterans in the Portland, OR area and its surrounding communities.

The VAPORHCS serves over 95,000 veterans and operates multiple community-based outpatient clinics. The goal of this contract is to provide reliable, timely, and efficient ambulance services for both emergent and non-emergent medical transportation needs, ensuring that veterans receive the necessary care without delay.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a range of ambulance services including:
1. Urgent and non-emergent stretcher transports.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS) transport for patients who do not require advanced medical care.
3. Advanced Life Support (ALS) transport for patients needing higher levels of medical intervention during transport.
4. Critical Care Transport (CCT) for critically ill or injured patients requiring specialized care during transit.
5. Transportation of miscellaneous items such as patient luggage and medical records at no additional cost.
6. Services must be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
7. Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing emergency medical transport.
8. Contractor personnel must maintain professionalism and adhere to all qualifications specified in the contract.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily within the Portland VAMC catchment area, which includes various counties in Oregon and Washington.
