Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to establish a contract for non-emergency ground ambulance services for the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center located in Iron Mountain, MI. This contract aims to provide essential transportation services to veterans, ensuring they receive timely medical care. The facility serves over 22,000 veterans and requires reliable ambulance services to support its operations across various locations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide non-emergency ambulance services including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Specialty Care Transport (SCT), and Critical Care Transport (CCT). Services must be available 24/7 and include:

- Urgent and non-emergent stretcher transports.
- Transportation of patient luggage, medical records, and comfort items at no additional cost.
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding ambulance services.
- Personnel must be certified and licensed as per local regulations.
- Vehicles must meet safety standards and be maintained in good condition.
- The contractor must utilize the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved transportation software for managing transportation requests and invoicing.
- Response times for urgent transport requests must be within 30 minutes from order placement. Scheduled transports require adherence to agreed-upon pick-up times.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a five-year ordering period from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI, as well as other VA and non-VA locations as needed.
