Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 6162 S. Willow Drive, Suite 300, Greenwood Village CO 80111 intends to solicit sources to enter into a firm-fixed price contracts to provide Ambulance Service for Facilities within the Eastern Colorado Health Care System and the Rocky Mountain Regional VAMC, 1700 N Wheeling St. CO, 80045.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide ambulance transportation services on an as-needed basis to beneficiaries of the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR) throughout the Denver Metro area and outlying Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Colorado. The services are required seven days a week, including holidays, and may include transportation to and from various locations such as clinics, ward locations, inpatient floors, ICU, patient homes, hospitals, and pre-approved fee basis appointments designated by the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The contractor is expected to comply with all state rules and regulations and have proper licensing to conduct such transportation.

The contract also includes provisions for scheduled transportation requests using VetRide/VA-Approved Transportation Software, emergent unscheduled transportation requests with a response time requirement of 20 minutes, non-emergent unscheduled transportation requests with a response time requirement of 1 hour within local mileage limits or 30 minutes outside local mileage limits. The contractor is required to maintain 95% on-time performance on a daily basis and is subject to customer service surveys and unannounced VA staff accompanying patient transport for evaluation purposes.
