FY23 Ambulance Transportation (new Base+4OYs)   4

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking non-emergency ground ambulance transportation services for the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS). The contractor will provide all ground non-emergency, Advance Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance services for beneficiaries of the Orlando VA Medical Center (OVAMC), and its associated healthcare facilities. The services will cover designated counties within the OVAMC catchment area, including Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, and Lake County. The contractor will be responsible for providing all transport vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, transportation, fuel, equipment, reports, and anything else necessary to successfully furnish service as identified in the Pricing Schedule and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Work Details
The contractor's responsibilities include providing non-emergency transportation services by ambulance in the designated counties within the OVAMC catchment area. This includes Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance Transportation (A0428), Advanced Life Support 1 (ALS1) Ambulance Transportation (A0426), Advanced Life Support 2 (ALS2) Ambulance Transportation Rate(A0433), Mileage Rate(A0425), and Wait Time services. The contract includes a base period of performance beginning on 10-01-2022 and ending on 09-30-2023 with four option years. The total maximum amount of services acquired under this contract shall not exceed $16.5 million.

The geographic locations where the contract will be performed include Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Volusia, and Lake County within the OVAMC catchment area.
