Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Durham North Carolina (VAMC) provides diagnostic and therapeutic services in medicine, surgery, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, and skilled nursing home care. This facility also provides ambulatory services to those veterans not requiring hospitalization. The contract will include a requirement for Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services. The contractor shall furnish twenty four (24) hour ambulance service for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Durham, North Carolina, Greenville Health Care Center (HCC), and all Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC) of the Durham VAMC, and service coverage for the twenty-seven (27) counties within the Durham VAMC catchment area.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance Services for the beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Durham, North Carolina, Greenville Health Care Center (HCC), and all Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC) of the Durham VAMC. The contractor must provide service coverage for twenty-seven counties within the Durham VAMC catchment area. The contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract for a base and two optional periods of performance.

Period of Performance
Base Year: 22 August 2023 – 21 August 2024
Option Year 1: 22 August 2024 – 21 August 2025

The geographic locations where the contract will be performed include Durham VA Medical Center, Greenville HCC in Greenville, North Carolina, Asheville VAMC in Asheville, North Carolina, Fayetteville VAMC in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Hampton VAMC in Hampton, Virginia, Richmond VAMC in Richmond, Virginia, Salem VAMC in Salem, Virginia, Salisbury VAMC in Salisbury, North Carolina, Beckley VAMC in Beckley, West Virginia.
