Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking ambulance services for the Columbus Veterans Administration Ambulatory Care Clinic (VAACC) in Columbus, Ohio. The contract will be awarded under Subpart 13.5 and is expected to result in an Indefinite-Delivery type contract as defined in Subpart 16.5.
The performance of services under this contract will be authorized through the award of funded task order(s) by the government contracting office.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance service for the Columbus VAACC. The services include patient pick-up and delivery from community hospitals and VA facilities within and outside the service area, as well as from patient residences and other locations as requested by the authorized government representative(s). The contract includes specific requirements for response times, routine and STAT patient transportation requests, and quality control measures.
The performance period includes a base year and two option years.

Period of Performance
The anticipated performance periods are as follows:
Base Year: 21-September-2023 to 20-September-2024
Option Year One: 21-September-2024 to 20-September-2025
Option Year Two: 21-September-2025 to 20-September-2026

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Chalmers P. Wylie Veterans Administration Ambulatory Care Center in Columbus, Ohio, as well as at several Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Grove City, Newark, Zanesville, and Marion.
