Background
The Marion VA Medical Center (VAMC) in Marion, Illinois, along with its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and affiliated healthcare clinics, is seeking contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services.

The primary mission of the VAMC is to provide high-quality healthcare to veterans in the region, serving over 40,415 veterans annually. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable and efficient ambulance services that include Stretcher Transports, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services available 24/7.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and reporting for the provision of ambulance services. Specific tasks include:
1. Providing emergent and non-emergent stretcher transports, BLS, ALS, and CCT services as needed.
2. Ensuring that all personnel meet federal, state, and local qualifications for their roles.
3. Transporting patients along with their luggage and medical items at no additional cost.
4. Maintaining cleanliness and good repair of all vehicles used for transport.
5. Utilizing the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved transportation software for managing transport requests.
6. Complying with tuberculosis exposure control policies and ensuring personnel are tested accordingly.
7. Conducting background checks on all personnel to ensure safety and compliance with VA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price agreement with a duration of five years consisting of five ordering periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily at the Marion VA Medical Center located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion IL 62959-1165.
