Background
The Albany Stratton VA Medical Center (Stratton VAMC) and its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) require contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services to support their mission of providing healthcare to over 50,000 veterans.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Emergent and non-emergent Stretcher Transports, BLS, ALS, and CCT services as needed. Services include:
- Transporting eligible Veteran beneficiaries with all necessary vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transporting patient luggage, medical records, medication, and comfort items at no additional cost.
- Providing courteous personnel who meet all qualifications specified in the contract.
- Utilizing the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved software for managing transportation requests.
- Responding to scheduled transport requests within specified timeframes: 30 minutes for emergent transports from VA locations and 60 minutes for urgent requests not scheduled in advance.
- Maintaining clean vehicles that comply with safety standards and conducting background checks on all personnel.
- Providing a tuberculosis exposure control policy and ensuring personnel are tested as per state guidelines.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period starting from September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2025, with options to extend for up to four additional years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center located at 113 Holland Avenue, Albany NY 12208.
