Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking ALS, BLS, and CCT ambulance transport services for eligible Veteran beneficiaries. The VA WNY Healthcare System requires contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services for its main campus and associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in the Western New York area.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) Tier 1, 2, and 3 ambulance services on an as-needed basis. The contractor is responsible for providing all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of these services. Additionally, the contractor may be required to transport patient luggage, medical records, medication, and comfort items from pickup points to destinations at no additional cost.
The contractor's personnel must meet specific qualifications and certifications as per federal, state, and local regulations. The contract also includes provisions for transportation requests, response times, cancellations, pick-up/drop-off/reporting procedures, conformance with environmental management systems, and surveillance checklist.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on 07-10-2024 and ends on 10-31-2028.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance is the VA WNY Healthcare System main campus located at 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215. Additionally, the contract covers transportation services within various counties and zip codes in the Western New York area.
