Air Ambulance Services for VAPIHCS   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Pacific Island Healthcare System (VAPIHCS) is seeking Air Ambulance Services to transport beneficiaries from various islands to medical facilities in Honolulu, Hawaii. The contract will be for a period of five years with an option to extend services for an additional six months. The resulting contract will have a maximum value of $7 million.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide ALS/BLS/CCT air ambulance service twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, including all holidays for beneficiaries of the VA. The Contractor shall provide passenger air charter service and related passenger services to assist in meeting its travel needs from the Neighbor Island to Oahu, HI. The contractor shall use contractor-owned stretchers, wheelchairs, linens or any other items required in transporting patient(s) from one place to another. This contract shall include BLS, ALS and CCT services as required. All travel is one-way from a Neighbor Island to Oahu, HI.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of five years with an option to extend services for an additional six months.

Place of Performance
The air ambulance services will be performed for the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System (VAPIHCS), Hawaii.
