Background
The Northern Indiana Health Care System (NIHCS), which includes its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and affiliated healthcare clinics, is seeking contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services.

The NIHCS serves over 8000 veterans, primarily from the Grand Rapids area, and operates a main campus located at 1700 E 38th St., Marion, IN. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive ambulance services including Stretcher Transports, Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) services available 24/7.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of ambulance services. Services include:
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) transport as needed.
- Critical Care Transport (CCT) services.
- Transportation of miscellaneous items such as patient luggage and medical records at no additional cost.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding ambulance services.
- Personnel must be courteous and professional at all times. EMTs and CCTPs must meet specified qualifications and certifications.
- Vehicles must be maintained in good condition and comply with safety standards.
- The contractor will utilize the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved software for transportation requests and invoicing.

Period of Performance
Five ordering periods of one year each starting from March 2, 2026 through March 1, 2031.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed primarily in Indiana with specific locations including the NIHCS main campus in Marion, IN.
