Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking Special Mode Transportation (SMT) for the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care Center (SFVAHCS). The base period of performance is from 10/1/2023 to 9/30/2024. The VA anticipates multiple awards as a result of this solicitation, with a guaranteed minimum of $2,000.00 for each award.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide non-emergency, special mode ground transportation services for beneficiaries of SFVAHCS and its associated healthcare facilities. This includes transporting ambulatory and non-ambulatory beneficiaries on gurneys, stair chairs, litters, wheelchairs, secure cars w/attendant, and other equipment to and from the SFVAHCS and other authorized care facilities. The contractor must comply with Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) standards and adhere to the Department of Veteran Affairs regulations.
The contractor must also provide 'door to door' assisted service for all patients and maintain confidentiality and nondisclosure of patient information.

The base period of performance is from 10/1/2023 to 9/30/2024.

Place of Performance
The major facility is the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System (SFVAHCS) located at 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, CA 94121. Additionally, trips may be required within the State of California.
