Type III Helicopter Services   3

Background
This solicitation is issued by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for Type III Helicopter Flight Services in Billings, MT. The BLM's mission includes managing public lands for various uses, including natural resource management and fire suppression.

The goal of this contract is to provide exclusive use helicopter services to support government missions related to natural resources, including fire monitoring and law enforcement activities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide fully operated and maintained helicopter flight services, which include:
- Provision of one Light (Type 3) Helicopter as specified in Section B.
- A crew compliment consisting of a Pilot-in-Command (PIC), Fuel Servicing Vehicle Driver(s), Relief PIC, Relief Fuel Servicing Vehicle Driver(s), Mechanic, and relief mechanic.
- A fuel servicing vehicle equipped as specified in Section B with a minimum capacity for 12 hours of usable fuel.
- The helicopter must have five insured passenger seats (not including the pilot) and a non-jettisonable payload capacity of 900 pounds at specified conditions.
- The contractor must ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain all necessary certifications for operation.
- Services will include fire suppression, monitoring, cargo transport, and other administrative activities as directed by the BLM.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance for this contract will be Billings, MT.
