Type II Helicopter Services   2

Background
This solicitation is for Type II Helicopter Flight Services for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Apple Valley, CA and Burns, OR. The Interior Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate is administering this contract. The goal of this contract is to provide fully Contractor operated and maintained exclusive use helicopter flight services to transport personnel and/or cargo in support of Government natural resource missions.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a helicopter, personnel, fuel servicing vehicle, fuel, and all other associated equipment as prescribed in this solicitation. Tasks include fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, cargo letdown, prescribed fire and aerial ignition, law enforcement limited to non-threatening surveillance and reconnaissance, and other administrative activities.

The contractor must maintain a complete copy of the contract in each aircraft throughout the performance period. The contractor's employees must demonstrate cooperation and professionalism towards aviation safety. The aircraft must be available for exclusive use 24/7 during the designated periods.

Specific requirements include:
- One Medium (Type 2) Helicopter with nine insured passenger seats.
- A payload capacity of 1,650 pounds at specified conditions.
- Compliance with FAA regulations including necessary certifications such as Air Carrier Certificate and Standard Airworthiness Certificate.
- Maintenance of equipment in good repair without leaks or damage.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Apple Valley, CA and Burns, OR.
