Relief Pilot Services for NPS Everglades

Background
The U.S. Department of Interior, through Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), is issuing this solicitation as a Request for Quote (RFQ) on behalf of the Department of the National Park Service (NPS). This RFQ is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The purpose of this solicitation is to enter into a contract for obtaining Relief Pilot Services.

Work Details
The contract requires one pilot to operate on an on-call basis a Cessna 206H/G1000 airplane on amphibious floats at Everglades National Park, Homestead, Florida. The performance period is from the date of award through one base period with two one-year option periods. The minimum pilot requirements include holding a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificated commercial pilot certificate with both airplane single engine land and sea ratings; and the instrument rating airplane or greater, FAA 2nd class medical certificate or greater, and being a U.S. Citizen.

Period of Performance
The performance period is from the date of award through one base period with two one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
The designated base for performance is Everglades National Park, Homestead, Florida.
