Background
The Department of the Interior (DOI), Interior Business Center (IBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) in support of the National Park Service is issuing a source sought notice for two fully Contractor operated and maintained exclusive use helicopters to transport personnel and/or cargo in support of Government fire suppression and human external load short haul/rappel rescue missions. Missions will include, but are not limited to fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, prescribed fire, and aerial ignition in support of fire management incidents, rappel short-haul rescue, Law Enforcement activities for non-life-threatening surveillance, reconnaissance, search-and-rescue (SAR), and other administrative or resource activities as directed by .

Work Details
The contract requires two fully Contractor operated and maintained exclusive use helicopters to transport personnel and/or cargo in support of Government fire suppression and human external load short haul/rappel rescue missions. The missions will include various activities such as fire suppression, monitoring, initial attack, prescribed fire, aerial ignition, rappel short-haul rescue, Law Enforcement activities for non-life-threatening surveillance, reconnaissance, search-and-rescue (SAR), and other administrative or resource activities as directed.

Place of Performance
The base of operations and geographical center of expected flight activity will be the Grand Canyon National Park, AZ. However, the contractor may be required to operate from alternate bases when dispatched.
