Description

Naval Facilities Engineering System Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic seeks to find a company to offer Electrical and Utilities based training on an as needed basis (other trades may benefit): Fundamental and advance courses; to maintain proficiencies with diagnosis and repair of utilities, control, and electrical systems. Training is needed to maintain skill level and provide revisionary training for employees that may lack fundamentals.
Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic is responsible for managing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of shore facilities for the U.S. Navy. They emphasize workforce training and education to ensure that employees maintain their competencies, certifications, and qualifications.

The goal of this contract is to provide Electrical and Utilities based training on an as-needed basis to enhance the skills of employees in diagnosing and repairing utilities, control, and electrical systems.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide comprehensive training services including all educational materials, instructors, and reference materials necessary for the courses. The required courses include but are not limited to:
- Electronics Mechanic
- Electrician (High Voltage)
- Electrician
- Electrical Engineer
- Electrical Power Controller
- Electrical Industrial Controls Mechanic
- Electronics Technician
- Engineering Technician.

The contractor must deliver a combination of instructor-led preparatory material and assist participants in navigating appropriate reference materials. Additionally, the contractor will coordinate with NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic’s Workforce Development and PWD leadership to schedule up to twenty-four (24) classes per year at various locations including Norfolk VA, Portsmouth VA, Virginia Beach VA, Yorktown VA, New London CT, Kittery ME & Cutler ME, Newport RI, Great Lakes IL, and Crane IN.

Period of Performance
The contract will consist of one Base Year with three (3) option year periods. The total period of performance will not exceed forty-eight (48) months.

Training may be conducted at various locations including:
- PWD Norfolk (Norfolk VA)
- PWD Hampton Roads (NSA) (Norfolk VA)
- PWD NNSY Portsmouth (Portsmouth VA)
- PWD Oceana (Virginia Beach VA)
- PWD Little Creek (Virginia Beach VA)
- PWD Yorktown (Yorktown VA)
- PWD New London (New London CT)
- PWD Maine (Kittery ME & Cutler ME)
- PWD Newport (Newport RI)
- PWD Great Lakes (Great Lakes IL)
- PWD Crane (Crane IN).
