Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah annual Site Management Plan (SMP) activities

THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, intends to award a contract, on a sole source basis, to URS Group, Inc (URS). This is a follow-on contract action updating original services previously submitted, reviewed, and accepted by the Government at the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah. URS is the current UTTR Performance Based Remediation contractor (contract awarded 30 September 2013), originally tasked with completing ten (10) years of annual Site Management Plan (SMP) activities at twenty-five (25) Solid Waste Management Units (SWMUs). The Government will save funds with this sole source action by having the existing contractor continue the services without interruption annually through the end of the Period of Performance in FY23 to prevent a Notice of Violation (NOV) to the Air Force from the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.

Starting the work over is not in the Government's best interest and will not meet the project deadlines and compliance with Environmental Permits and Inspections.
