Description

This is a presolicitation notice (synopsis) for the time-charter of one, clean, approved, U.S. flag Jones Act compliant tanker, with Segregated Ballast Tanks (SBT) and Inert Gas System (IGS) that is capable of carrying a minimum of 280,000 BBLs of clean product (intentions F76, JP5, JP8, or JA1) within vessel's natural segregation in designated cargo tanks with double valve isolation.

Background
The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is issuing a presolicitation notice for the time-charter of a U.S. flag Jones Act compliant tanker.

The goal of this contract is to secure a clean, approved tanker capable of transporting specific clean products, thereby supporting the operational needs of the U.S. military.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a fixed-priced time charter for one clean, approved, U.S. flag Jones Act compliant tanker equipped with Segregated Ballast Tanks (SBT) and an Inert Gas System (IGS).

The tanker must be capable of carrying a minimum of 280,000 BBLs of clean product, specifically F76, JP5, JP8, or JA1, within the vessel’s natural segregation in designated cargo tanks with double valve isolation.

The anticipated lay days for the vessel are on or about July 2025, with delivery to occur at a port on the US West Coast, specifically intended for Point Loma, CA. The contract includes a one-year base period followed by three one-year option periods and one 11-month option period.
