Background
The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is seeking technology experimentation candidates for inclusion in future experimentation events. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather innovative technologies from research and development organizations, private industry, and academia to enhance Special Operations Forces (SOF) capabilities.

The event, TE 26-1, focuses on Multi-Domain Joint SOF Operations and will take place at Hurlburt Field, Florida from January 26 to January 30, 2026.

Work Details
Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their technologies that support Multi-Domain Joint SOF Operations. The experimentation will explore emerging technologies and their applications in enhancing SOF capabilities. Technologies should be at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 3 to 6 or higher.

The event will cover various technology areas including Unmanned Systems (UxS), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), AI/Sensor Integration, logistical support capabilities, counter-UxS capabilities, edge processing and computing, blue force awareness technology, and alternative position navigation and timing. Specific areas of interest include:
- Unmanned Systems (UxS) across all domains with multi-modal capabilities.
- Novel propulsion systems for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
- Robust man-packable robotics for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV).
- AI-enabled swarming algorithms for heterogeneous teaming.
- Cross-domain resupply platforms.
- Lightweight air-launched effects delivery systems.
- Communication systems that are jam-resistant and capable of free space optical communications.

The event will occur over a one-week period from January 26 to January 30, 2026.
