Background
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is issuing this contract in support of the USS SAVANNAH (LCS 28) Fiscal Year 2025 Docking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA). The goal of this contract is to perform essential maintenance and upgrades to ensure the operational readiness of the vessel, specifically addressing critical issues identified during routine checks.

Work Details
The primary task under this contract is the complete overhaul of the Rescue Boat Davit (Work Item 583-11-006). This work is necessary due to severe degradation found in the davit's core components, which has resulted in a Category 3 Casualty Report (CASREP). The overhaul requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) involvement as it involves Long Lead Time Material (LLTM).

The urgency of this requirement necessitates that OEM materials be ordered promptly to avoid schedule impacts. The work must be conducted while the USS SAVANNAH is positioned in drydock at Vigor's Portland shipyard, utilizing their available crane for safe removal and installation of the davit. Delays or outsourcing this work could significantly impact mission readiness and incur additional costs.

Period of Performance
The work is scheduled to begin once authorization is received and will coincide with the USS SAVANNAH's FY25 DSRA, starting on April 13, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Vigor's Portland shipyard.
