USS PIONEER(MCM-9) ASW and MSW piping in MMR; hydrobalst

Background
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka Site SASEBO is issuing a competitive solicitation for the USS PIONEER (MCM-9) project, which involves ASW and MSW piping work in MMR and hydroblasting. This contract is specifically aimed at Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) and capable Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) holders located in Japan, emphasizing the importance of compliance with local regulations and authorization to perform work in the region.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Hydroblasting of ASW and MSW piping systems aboard USS PIONEER (MCM-9).

2. Management of waste water generated from hydroblasting operations, including proper pump-out procedures.

3. Compliance with higher-level contract quality requirements as specified by NAVSEA Standard Items, ensuring that all applicable standards are adhered to and flowed down to lower-tier subcontracts as necessary.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from July 14, 2026, to October 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Commander, Fleet Activities SASEBO (CFAS) in Japan.
