8 August 2022: The purpose of this notification is to provide solicitation amendment 0001 to extend the proposal due date.
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) issues solicitation N00024-22-R-4412 for the execution of the USS NITZE (DDG 94) FY23 DEPOT MODERNIZATION PERIOD (DMP). This availability includes a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair, and will require a highly capable contractor with substantial facilities, as well as human resources capable of completing, coordinating, and integrating multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair and modernization. This availability is solicited on a coast-wide basis on the East Coast under a single solicitation, and a single contract to complete this availability is expected to be awarded to one contractor. Based on the complexity, magnitude and duration of the requirement, the Governments market research indicates there are not two or more small business concerns capable of competing for these requirements and therefore this procurement will not be set-aside for small business (FAR 19.502-2(b)).This solicitation is issued electronically via SAM.gov. Interested parties must comply with this announcement.

Background

Work Details
The contract includes various tasks such as preparing for and accomplishing repair and alterations during the Depot Modernization Period (DMP) onboard USS NITZE (DDG 94). The work also involves providing support services for different alteration installations. The statement of work provided includes standard items, work item specification package drawings, test procedures, and other detailed data.
Period of Performance
The Government anticipates making a single award in or around January 2023. USS NITZE (DDG 94) FY23 DMP will be approximately 21 months, beginning in July 2023 and completing in April 2025.
