USS HARTFORD (SSN 768) Engineered Overhaul   2

General Dynamics Electric Boat, Groton, Connecticut, was awarded a cost-plus-incentive-fee (CPIF) modification to a previously awarded contract N00024-20-C-4312 for the engineered overhaul (EOH) of the USS HARTFORD (SSN 768). Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by November 2027.

This contract modification was awarded as a CPIF contract type in accordance with FAR 16.405-1(b), which states a CPIF contract is appropriate when a cost reimbursement contract is necessary and a target cost and fee adjustment formula can be negotiated that are likely to motivate the contractor to manage effectively.
